In 1953, Christian Flensted, the founder of Flensted Mobiles, created his first balanced mobile by using two straws and three hand-painted, cut-out storks (known as storks in folklore for bringing babies). He crafted this mobile to celebrate the christening of his daughter, Mette.

This meaningful mobile, full of fatherly love and blessings, accompanied the Flensted family through many joyful memories. A year later, Christian Flensted decided to establish a company. Flensted Mobiles has since been dedicated to creating more unique mobiles, with the hope that these delightful gifts can bring happiness and joy to more families.

Seventy years have passed, and Flensted Mobiles has been handed down through three generations. The production site has grown from a small apartment to a large factory, and the product line has expanded from a single design to over 250 different models. What remains unchanged is the playful spirit of these mobiles, all of which are still handmade in Denmark by the Flensted family and their team, continuing the founder’s vision of spreading this beautiful meaning to the world.
